Snow

A week of snow outside my window was well-timed for me, as Charlotte is currently ensconced in a rather large snow-storm in the Swiss Alps, and feeling a bit chilly to boot.

There’s nothing like actually experiencing the environment of a character to be able to bring it home to the reader. That’s not to under-value the power of imagination, but I like to be immersed once in a while. It gives my writing a shot of adrenalin.

In the meantime, one of my Nuance Words pals has challenged me to write a short piece for her friend Elise, from PenTales, who is collecting pieces on the topic: If only I’d known…

An interesting one for a gal like me, who sometimes feels 100 years old… and sometimes like a teenager.
